Empowering Students Through Scholarships
The Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Foundation (APTSD Foundation) is committed to making martial arts training accessible to all, especially at-risk youth who may face financial barriers.
With the help of generous donors, scholarships provide these students with the opportunity to join Tang Soo Do classes, where they gain more than just martial arts skills—they develop discipline, confidence, and leadership abilities that transform their lives both inside and outside the dojang.
This section highlights some of the remarkable students whose lives have been positively impacted by these scholarships. Their stories are a testament to the profound influence of Tang Soo Do training, showcasing how the Foundation’s support helps shape future leaders, fosters personal growth, and creates brighter opportunities for those who need it most.

Noah Wilson and his grandmother, Mrs. Beverly Wilson, are a testament to the transformative power of the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation (APTSDF) martial arts program. Since Noah joined the program, his grades have significantly improved, rising from Ds and Fs to As and Bs. Mrs. Wilson attributes this remarkable progress to the discipline and focus Noah has gained through karate, stating, “I think the discipline he is getting from karate is helping him to be more focused on his academics at school.”
In addition to being a proud supporter of the program, Mrs. Beverly Wilson has become one of the key recruiters at Tiger’s Den Karate. Having witnessed firsthand the positive changes in her grandson’s behavior, academic performance, and overall attitude, she is passionate about encouraging other families to experience the life-changing benefits of Tang Soo Do. Noah’s success story is just one example of how the APTSDF continues to empower at-risk youth and foster personal growth.
