The Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Foundation is guided by a dedicated board of individuals who bring their expertise, passion, and commitment to advancing the Foundation's mission. These leaders work tirelessly to ensure that the Foundation continues to empower at-risk youth through martial arts training, character development, and community engagement.
Our board members not only oversee the Foundation's programs but also serve as ambassadors of its values, supporting initiatives like Leadership Camps, scholarships, and community outreach efforts. Their leadership ensures that the APTSDF Foundation remains a driving force for positive change, developing future leaders and fostering personal growth through the art of Tang Soo Do.

Foundation President & Board Chair
John St. James has been training for over 50 years. He has earned a 9th degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do and serves as the President and Founding Master of the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation headquartered just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. John St. James also serves as Co-Chair of the Asia Atlantic Alliance, an organization of like-minded traditional Tang Soo Do Federations and Associations across the globe.
Mr. St. James began his martial arts and leadership training when he was 13 years old. He often speaks about how Tang Soo Do had a transformative effect on him personally and has witnessed the same in the thousands of students he has taught over the years.
Helping others, especially those at risk, is driving force in Mr. St. James life. He founded the APTSD Foundation to help those most in need gain the wonderful values and benefits of Tang Soo Do. These benefits include enhanced discipline, perseverance, respect, humility, focus, goal orientation, and improved self-esteem.

Board Member
Master Klacko launched his martial arts career in 1986 when he began training in Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan under Master Charette in Scranton, PA. In 1991, he joined the World Tang Soo Do Association under the leadership of Grandmaster Jae C. Shin where he achieved the rank of 3rd Degree Black Belt. In 2003, he received the prestigious rank of Master from Grandmaster Richard Byrne of the American Tang Soo Do Association. He currently holds the rank of 7th degree Black Belt with the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation.
Master Klacko believes the greatest reward for an instructor is to visualize the positive impact martial arts has on the students’ lives, and the knowledge that by passing on the philosophies of Korean Martial Arts, he has contributed to the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of those students. Outside of the martial arts, Master Klacko is a business leader and entrepreneur, having co-founded 3 high-tech companies in Boston, MA.

Marc Nemeth, Esq., is a dedicated attorney, martial artist, and community advocate serving as a key member of the board for the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Foundation (APTSD), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity organization.
With a strong background in law and a passion for empowering at-risk youth, Marc brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal commitment to the foundation’s mission of fostering character development, leadership, and resilience through martial arts.
As an accomplished attorney, Marc has focused his legal career on supporting underserved communities, specializing in areas such as juvenile advocacy, family law, and social justice.
His work has given him a profound understanding of the challenges faced by at-risk youth, particularly those impacted by trauma, unstable environments, or limited access to positive role models. Marc’s legal insights have been instrumental in shaping the foundation’s outreach efforts, ensuring that programs are accessible and impactful for children and teens in need.
Beyond his legal career, Marc has a deep connection to martial arts as a tool for personal growth and empowerment. He actively supports the Foundation’s initiatives to provide scholarships, mentorship, and training opportunities for young students, helping them build confidence, discipline, and a sense of purpose.

David Anthony Schroeder is a distinguished author, philanthropist, and expert in advertising and marketing. In addition to his professional achievements, David is deeply committed to making a positive impact in the community. He is a proud board member of The Atlantic Pacific Tang Soo Do Foundation (APTSDF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering at-risk youth through martial arts training.A passionate advocate for martial arts, David has earned his first-degree black belt from the Atlantic Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation under Master Dulaney and Cornerstone Martial Arts & Leadership Academy. He finds immense joy in teaching Tang Soo Do to young students, helping them develop discipline, confidence, and life skills.
David also enthusiastically participates in board breakathons to raise funds for the foundation’s programs, blending his love for martial arts with his philanthropic mission.
With a wealth of expertise as a media buyer and advertising marketing specialist, David brings a unique combination of creativity and strategy to his work.
